Planning, design and construction management of cold storage and food processing facilities.
In our nine year’s operation, Connor Consulting have become industry leaders in the planning, design and construction management of cold storage and food processing facilities. We work with most major cold storage operators, particularly the integration of food processing, hygiene and NZFSA requirements into cold environment analysis and design.
We have the capability to do layout planning, civil & structural engineering, specification, detailing, tendering and construction management, and trouble-shooting in the cold storage and food industry.
We have nine permanent staff, and three contract staff we use as required to ensure we have the capacity to undertake significant projects. We maintain contacts in the industry to enable us to providing additional resources and disciplines often needed on our projects – fire, electrical, refrigeration, ventilation, mechanical, geotechnical.
We work with most major cold storage operators around New Zealand,
and a wide variety of industrial/food processing clients, some shown below.
Peter is a Director at Connor Consulting. He is a Chartered Professional Civil/Structural Engineer with 25 years’ experience in both New Zealand and the UK.
He has experience in commercial and industrial design and construction, including extensive food processing and cold storage knowledge undertaking projects for most of the clients listed above.
Mark is a Director at Connor Consulting with 25 years’ experience as a Chartered Professional Structural Engineer working in New Zealand and the UK.
His skills are in the planning and design of commercial, industrial, food processing and cold storage facilities. Mark believes projects are most successful when all members work and communicate as a team.
Diana is an experienced, Chartered Structural Engineer with an interest in specialist building structures.
Her design work has included classrooms and school buildings, coldstores, warehouses, office buildings, memorial arches and waste water treatment plants.
Andrew is a Chartered Professional Structural Engineer in New Zealand and Canada, with 16 years’ experience working on a variety of industrial projects in
New Zealand and abroad.
This includes hydro and debris protection projects in Canada, power station construction in Egypt, as well as New Zealand experience in the food and power industry including seismic assessments/strengthening.
Amir joined Connor Consulting
in March 2019 and brings with him six years of engineering experience. Amir completed his PhD in Structural Engineering at the University of Canterbury in 2018 and had been working in Christchurch since. He has extensive experience in seismic assessments and strengthening earthquake-damaged buildings.
Will joined Connor Consulting as a graduate after completing his study in 2017 at the University of Canterbury.
He has since gained experience in the design and construction of cold storage and industrial projects, working for a range of our clients.
Max joined Connor Consulting in September 2019 as a Graduate Structural Engineer. He had carried out numerous structural assessments for earthquake-damaged buildings in Christchurch and residential designs for a year and a half before joining the team. He completed an engineering degree at the University of Canterbury in 2017.
Claire has been with Connor Consulting since 2013, as an
She is involved with client billing, account reconciliations, payroll, receptionist duties in the office, and various other administrative tasks.
Sam joined Connor Consulting's draughting force in early 2020, bringing with him 5 years of 3D modeling and draughting experience in commercial, industrial, civil, and high-end residential structures.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys playing badminton and is training to be a coach.
RHONDDA VINCENT AND DAVID WHITEMAN
Rhondda and David form part of our drafting team. Between them they have over 60 years of drafting
experience, the majority of which has been in the within food processing and cold storage space.
We can also draw upon three additional contract staff as required to undertake significant projects.
